Dr Judith Simmermon

jud32Dr. Judith Simmermon is  a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice for over 20 years.  Her practice emphasis is primarily psychoeducational assessment for the diagnosis of learning disabilities, AD/HD, processing issues, developmental delays, and social-emotional disorders.  She also provides parent consultation and supervises post-doctoral fellows.

In addidion to private practice, Dr. Simmermon has been a teacher, school psychologist, a consultant to a psychoeducational center, and an adjunct faculty member/lecturer teaching graduate level assessment courses at Georgia State University  and Boston University.  As a Fellow of the Georgia Psychological Association, Dr. Simmermon has served on that organization’s board, been both Treasurer and President of the Division of Family, Child, School Psychologists of GPA, and currently serves on the Ethics Committee.  Dr. Simmermon has also served on the board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Georgia, is a member of the International Dyslexia Association, the American Psychological Association and has been a member of the advisory committee of Imagine It, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta.

Dr. Simmermon completed a Bachelor’s degree at Butler University, a Master’s degree in Psychometry and a Specialist degree in School Psychology at Ball State University.  She subsequently completed a doctoral degree in School Psychology at Georgia State University.
