Dr. Jennifer Foster is a licensed psychologist in Georgia and Florida and has been in private practice for six years. She recently returned with her family to the Atlanta area and has joined this practice. Dr. Foster primarily focuses on consultation and evaluation of learning difficulties, ADHD, and behavioral/social issues in children and adolescents. She prefers to collaborate with teacher and parents to develop and implement treatment plans that will maximize a child’s academic and social success.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Foster has been a lecturer at Georgia State University, consultant for foundations that focus on children and families, a staff school psychologist, child forensic evaluator, and a guest speaker at schools on a variety of topics (effective parenting, family stress management, when to have a child evaluated by a psychologist, etc.). Her research interests include child and adolescent development, child maltreatment, and after-school program development.
Dr. Foster completed a Bachelor’s degree at The University of Georgia and a doctoral degree in Clinical and Community Psychology at Georgia State University. She completed an internship and fellowship at The University of Miami Mailman Center for Child Development.
